Papers, 1767-1858.

This small collection contains items pertaining to the Savery family dating between 1767-1858. These include several wills, estate papers, letters, elegies, receipts for work done by William or Thomas Savery, an account book documenting Thomas Savery's work as a carpenter, and three marriage certificates. Also, there is a photostat of William Savery's account with Joseph Pemberton 1774-1775, and a photograph of a label or bookplate bearing William Savery's name. On the back of one of the receipts is a note about receiving money from the estate of Williams' mother.

William Savery was a joiner and chairmaker who worked in Philadelphia around the turn of the 19th century. Thomas Savery, also of Philadelphia, was a carpenter.
